Solidarity with Minnesota!

Update from the UCI Directors: The Union Cooperative Initiative has joined the Chuffed.org network after the successful launch of our Save Our Local News Campaign last year.

Chuffed.org is a global crowdfunding platform powering the leading movements for social change around world. From Climate Justice to Indigenous Land Defenders, Chuffed.org is a values-led social enterprise that is pro-union and home to the global Palestinian Solidarity movement.

Managing Director Jonny Sopotiuk has joined the Chuffed.org Movements team full-time to lead the development of worker rights and other programs around the globe. UCI Director Nadia Santoro has stepped in to assist with transition to a Co-Director model.

The UCI will be joining the calls for the GoFundMe boycott while the for-profit company continues to host campaigns that undermine workers and other social movements. They continue to host an active fundraiser for the ICE officer who murdered Renee Nicole Good.

We stand against companies who support anti-union causes and resource fascism.

We have been proud to be working with Tending the Soil, an alignment of 5 working class power building organizations in Minneapolis and the Minneapolis Regional Labor Federation.

January 23 marks a historic day in the fight against fascism as a coalition of labour, community, faith, and small businesses come together across Minnesota and say: No Work, No Shopping, No School for a day of truth and freedom. ICE out Minnesota now.

We stand with our brothers, sisters, kin, and comrades and ask you to join us in donating to fund the front lines in the fight against fascism. Solidarity!
