GET INVOLVED

Building a solidarity economy takes time, energy, resources, commitment, and solidarity. It requires support from all corners of our community, and this means there are many ways to get involved in the movement.

JOIN THE MOVEMENT

Are you excited to support the movement for a worker-centred social and solidarity economy at home and abroad? Sign up for our newsletter or get more involved:

SOLIDARITY MEMBERSHIP

Are you an individual who isn’t ready to start or join a co-op but wants to be involved? Are you an organization that aligns with our values and wants to support the growth of our community focused democratic enterprises?

Join the UCI as a solidarity member and participate in our Solidarity Economy Squad. Membership is a one-time share purchase of $10 for both individuals and organizations.

START A UNION COOPERATIVE

Are you an existing cooperative that’s interested in being a union cooperative? Do you work for a non-profit or business that’s interested in transforming into a cooperative workplace? Or do you want to start a brand new cooperative enterprise or non-profit?

We’re passionate about helping workers achieve their goals and building worker power, and we can help you transition or get your co-op off the ground. Please reach out to learn more about the union cooperative incubation program.

BUILD A PARTNERSHIP

Are you part of a union that is interested in learning more about cooperatives as a strategy for membership engagement or new organizing? Union co-ops are an organizing model that can be a great way for unions to invest in the community and grow your membership. Email info@unionci.ca to get started.
