VALU COMMUNITY PROJECTS CO-OP
VALU Community Projects is a cooperative and collective of community-engaged union artists working on the unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) peoples in Chinatown, Vancouver.
As the resident artists of the Lim Sai Hor Kow Mok Benevolent Association building, a historic site of Chinese and labour activism, revolution, and conflict, the VALU artists believe they have an ethical duty to engage in deep community building to build deep relationships of solidarity, trust, and mutual aid.
The VALU artists curate the window display at the front of the UCI Studio on 525 Carrall Street in partnership with community groups and movements.
